Samantha Houck
Community Project Manager
Samantha is an avid reader with a people-first approach to life. Her background is in research, marketing, and kinetics, with a sustainable mindset that drives her to do work that assists people and continues challenging herself to learn more.
After five years of working, budgeting, and traveling, she went back to school and graduated with a Master's Degree in International Affairs focused on Environment, Energy, and Health from the School of Global Policy and Strategy at the University of California San Diego. While in school, she worked on creating awareness of the wealth of knowledge our Native Communities have and their struggles with environmental injustices. She also interned with the County of San Diego’s Land Use Environmental Group, working on Food System Initiatives, and enjoyed bountiful conversations on the intersectionality of who people are and how systems (and history) affect each of our stories. At the end of her program, she fell in love with Geographic Imaging Systems, and this is what initially led her to apply for an internship with Greenlink Analytics.
Now she looks forward to exchanging experiences, sharing knowledge, and finding ways to decrease barriers with others for a better world to live in.
