Our Use of
Artificial Intelligence
AI Statement
At Greenlink, we prioritize transparency, trust, and communication. This statement explains how we use and protect data while employing machine learning, a form of artificial intelligence, for the betterment of society.
Data collection and usage:
-
We do not buy or sell personal data.
-
We use publicly sourced and openly accessible data for analyzing the economic, social, and environmental impacts of energy use.
-
The data Greenlink uses is gathered from respected sources, cleaned for consistency and accuracy, and analyzed to provide group-level insights rather than individual predictions.
-
Machine learning helps us identify patterns and perform tasks that would otherwise require unmanageable calculations and time.
Data Analysis AI Tools:
-
Athenia model:
-
Athenia is Greenlink’s proprietary forecasting tool that analyzes utility filings, regulatory approvals, and planned retirements of energy sources to predict trends on an hourly basis out to 2050.
-
Athenia uses neural networks to process data in a layered structure that’s similar to the human brain.
-
-
Greenlink Equity Map (GEM):
-
GEM is an interactive tool displaying the intersections of health, housing, and environmental inequities across the country, down to individual neighborhoods.
-
GEM uses random forest algorithms for land use and land cover classification.
-
Limitations of Technology:
Machine learning is a powerful tool. We rely heavily on our own expertise to interpret its outputs and address its limitations.
